Swimming Center Rotterdam nominated for ZwembadBranche Award

03.10.2019

The opening of the Rotterdam swimming center in February 2018. The first part of the major inner-city transformation of the area around Rotterdam Zuidplein.

Visitors of the Rotterdam Swimming Center are happy with the complex. Very happy actually, because an independent satisfaction survey has led to the swimming center being nominated for the Swimming Pool Industry Award ("ZwembadBranche Award") in the category Best Accommodation with more than 200,000 visitors a year.

The ZwembadBranche Award (ZBBA) is an initiative of LMCG, publisher of the ZwembadBranche magazine. Over the years, the award has become an important public award. Swimming pools and swimming schools can apply for 11 categories, after which nominations are conducted through independent satisfaction surveys among consumers.

The winners will be announced during the ZwembadBranche Dag on 8 October in De Fabrique in Utrecht at 16:00.

Rotterdam Swimming Center was realized through a collaboration between Kraaijvanger Architects, Hart van Zuid Rotterdam and the municipality of Rotterdam. The swimming center is the first part of the major inner-city transformation of the area around Rotterdam Zuidplein. After years of preparation, this should set the tone for the coming decades. The swimming center was festively opened in February 2018 and has the only 50-meter pool in Rotterdam and is suitable for top sport.

Silent racing athletes dribble, wet
splash, darling children. Spat.
The birth of the new southern city sounds like that.
