A former office building in Scheveningen is being transformed into a residential building, according to a design by Kraaijvanger Architects. De Nieuwe Duin will accommodate 28 apartments ranging in size from 50 to 143 square meters. The concrete shell will remain, but the building will get a new facade and roof structure.

The new facade is realized of a soft gray brick, horizontal concrete bands delineate the different floors and run into balconies. In addition, they provide the building on the corner of the Nieuwe Duinweg and the Nieuwe Parklaan with 'residential character', as Kraaijvanger describes it.
