Kraaijvanger breidt opnieuw uit met twee associate partners

16.01.2019

Kraaijvanger Architects expands its management team with Rinske Wikkerink and Wouter IJssel de Schepper as new associates partner / architects. Their enterprising personalities combined with each individual design quality and business network fit perfectly with the ambitions of the Rotterdam office. Kraaijvanger therefore remains future-oriented in order to continue to excel and to contribute to the creation of beautiful environments.

Rinske Wikkerink
In her 7-year career at Kraaijvanger, Rinske worked on various buildings for the British School, Building X of the TU Delft, the RDW office in Veendam, the Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam and Campus Lelystad. These projects have all contributed to the expertise of Kraaijvanger in the field of 'innovative work and learning environments'. Setting up the so-called 'Tender team' is also an important contribution by Wikkerink to Kraaijvanger Architects. In the coming period, Rinske will focus on (design) research to expand the expertise of the office and on bringing further the 'tenderteam'.

"For the past 7 years, I have worked with great pleasure on challenging projects, tenders and design research as a project architect at Kraaijvanger. I look forward to the coming years because I see Kraaijvanger as an agency that translates idealism and complex assignments into smart, beautiful and sustainable buildings."

Rinske Wikkerink

Wouter IJssel de Schepper
Wouter, who has worked at Kraaijvanger since 2008, has a track record in monitoring design quality. His drive, his background in both architecture (TU Delft) and building technology (HTS Enschede) and his craftsmanship make him a passionate architect. Large complex inner city tasks such as Stadskantoor Utrecht and Stadskantoor Gent, but also the revitalization of the former Blokker on the Hoogstraat (Rotterdam) and various transformations of the V & D department stores are part of his portfolio. He combines this extensive experience in non-residential construction with his personal interest in the intimate living environment, which he sees as a research area for the future. After having worked for a certain period on tenders and competitions, Wouter will again work on real design assignments in 2019.

"The changes in society may be even more reflected in our living environment. Energy-neutral homes, diverse and flexible housing units, collective spaces and shared facilities. When looking at the current society needs you have to keep in mind that in fifty years they still must be relevant. "

Wouter IJssel de Schepper

"Great minds have purposes; others have wishes."
