De handtekeningen zijn gezet: Montessorischool Maassluis

The signatures have been signed: the new construction of the Montessori School Maassluis has officially begun. With the signing of the construction contract, the project is now taking shape.

The existing school no longer meets the requirements of Montessori education and does not offer sufficient space for the future. In consultation with and with the approval of the municipality of Maassluis, a replacement building will therefore be constructed at the current location. The new school building will accommodate ten educational groups and its own after-school care facility (BSO), with a total floor area of approximately 1,508 m².

The design consists of a two-story school building surrounding a central green patio. This patio forms the social heart of the school: a place for meeting, relaxation, and connection. The building supports Montessori education, which focuses on learning, discovering, and growing together. The school is conceived as a small world unto itself - a mini-society in which children meet, help, and inspire each other.

Kraaijvanger Architects is collaborating on this project with the client Stichting Montessorischolen Monton, A. de Jong Groep, Anculus, Vintis Installatieadviseurs, VIA landscape, IMd Raadgevende Ingenieurs, and Van Dijk Maasland B.V.

Completion of the new building is scheduled for the end of 2026, after which the school will be put into use in early 2027. In this way, we are working together towards a future-proof and inspiring learning environment for Montessori Maassluis.
