Kraaijvanger

The large-scale Hart van Zuid project does not go unnoticed! On Tuesday 21 June the NOS Journaal paid attention to this project, Kraaijvanger Architects is responsible for the urban design and supervises the Hart van Zuid area plan. Kraaijvanger also makes the designs for a number of objects. In collaboration with Ballast Nedam, Heijmans and the Municipality of Rotterdam, Kraaijvanger gives architects Ahoy a boost and thus reinforces the image of Rotterdam Zuid. Ahoy is being transformed from an introverted complex to a transparent and accessible crowd puller with international allure.

The exhibition halls will be renovated and the complex will be extended with an International Congress Center of 25,000 m² consisting of a Popzaal for 7,000 people, new catering facilities, foyers and break out rooms for conferences. Kraaijvanger Architects transforms the former district office of Rotterdam South into a multifunctional swimming pool . With the first 50 meter bath of Rotterdam this becomes a real crowd puller. In the future, Zuidplein metro station will also be renovated. Rotterdam Zuid will have a safe and comfortable new public transport hub with the largest bus station in the Netherlands.
