Shopping Centre De Esch

The shopping centre in the Rotterdam neighborhood De Esch in Kralingen will be revitalized. Kraaijvanger therefore made a proposal for a new building with shops, a supermarket and approx. 120 apartments. With 12.000 sqm in floor area the new shopping centre on the Rijnwaterstraat will become a central point within De Esch. The plinth, where the stores will be located, will amount to 1500 sqm in the new building.

On top of this plinth appartments of different sizes, from 60 to 120 gfa, will be build. The proposal also provides for the broadening of the Watertorenweg so that De Esch will get a more attractive entrance and thus become a more vital part of the city.

The proposal was done by Kraaijvanger together with B|H|W , TB3 - Bakkers & ten Brinke and developer Bluehouse.
