Arte College

Arte College is a school offering vocational and pre-university education to 850 pupils in one of Almere’s new suburbs. Theatre is the main theme of the school’s curriculum. The building is organized around a central void that doubles as an auditorium and assembly hall. Slender columns support the extruding roof over the glass entrance area. Outside will be the newly designed town plaza with a bicycle shed at a somewhat lower level, and an outdoor stage for theatre presentations.
