Officiële opening gemeentehuis Land van Cuijk

Last Friday on May 25 2025, Queen's Commissioner Ina Adema and Mayor Marieke Moorman opened the renovated Land van Cuijk town hall together with Jinte, who symbolically handed over the key.

‘We wanted to make the delicate balance of democracy visible in the architecture. That has succeeded in this renewed and extended town hall,’ said Hans Goverde, architect and partner at Kraaijvanger.

Goverde previously designed the town hall of Boxmeer. Even then, he took future expansion into account in the design. A vision that came in handy when it was decided to locate the central Land van Cuijk municipality in Boxmeer.

Het gebouw is uitgebreid met een eigentijdse, energie-neutrale werkomgeving en circulair gebouwd: oude materialen zoals kozijnen, deuren en plafondplaten kregen een tweede leven. De bestaande bouw bleek vitaal genoeg om nog decennialang mee te kunnen.
