Plotvis zoekt een 3D illustrator architectuur (32uur)

Illustrating Architecture is like writing a poem. An art form that evokes emotions and depicts architectural dreams. Think of the City Hall in Venlo or the Campus in Lelystad - all kinds of Plotvis projects in which you, a 3D architectural illustrator, can work from home or from our office in Rotterdam.

From sketch to reality

To show the true beauty of a design. In a play of light, composition, color and all the other details, you are the artist who turns a sketch into beautiful works of art. All under the sign of architecture, of course. One moment you are involved in a project from A to Z and the next you are busy with smaller assignments. It makes no difference to you, as long as you work in a place where you feel inspired. At Plotvis it doesn't matter where you work, as long as you have a good internet connection and a laptop (a decent screen might be useful as well). When are you satisfied with your work? As soon as the client sheds a tear of happiness at the sight of your creations. You've just turned an architectural dream into something visible. As a 3D architectural illustrator, you work a minimum of 32 hours per week during which you will be:

  • carrying out your assignments where and when it suits you. As long as you are available between 9:30 and 16:00 and of course meet the deadlines.
  • putting together animations, still visuals, VR and/or 3D models with the architect's sketches as a basis. From determining the camera positions to the lighting and all other materials that belong in the design.
  • using the latest developments and techniques in our field (e.g. using Photoshop, VR or 3D designs).

Welcome to Plotvis

Stimulating the brain with incredible architectural visuals - that is what we at Plotvis do best. How? By finding the perfect balance in composition, color, light, atmosphere and materiality. Thus, we bring sketches to life with our still, 3D, VR and animation visuals. The portfolio consists of several inspiring social projects, e.g. the Province House South Holland and City Office Helmond. As part of the Kraaijvanger Group, we work a lot with other companies, such as Kraaijvanger Architects and Bim&Beyond. We have been working with architecture and its representation for almost 100 years, which makes us even more ambitious and hungry to keep growing in our profession. Do you wonder if all 60 colleagues work from the office in the heart of Rotterdam? No, they don’t. At Plotvis you get all the freedom to determine your own workplace and working hours - whatever works best for you.

The creative team now consists of 2 members: Rob ten Napel and Ibrahim Polat. You could definitely say that we have short lines. We speak to each other a lot online. Sometimes through video calls and hopefully in the near future in virtual reality. Relaxed, open, free and eager to learn. That's the best way to summarize our working atmosphere. We are inspired by art and architecture while continuously keeping our knowledge up-to-date. To cut a long story short, this is the place where creative people come together.

The perfect picture

By now your portfolio consists of the most beautiful (architectural) visuals. Your way of working can be compared best to that of a painter who turns every blank canvas into an inspiring work of art. Every detail is right. In fact, your completed assignments are unique experiences for each client. It is as if they are already walking around in the building. And do you need to make some adjustments? Then that won’t be a problem, you can take a beating. You will have enough time to incorporate your knowledge of the latest developments in our field. In addition, you have:

  • a lot of experience with Adobe Photoshop and 3ds Max.
  • At least a college degree, preferably in Architecture or Fine Arts.
  • Knowledge of Forest Back, RailClone and Adobe Creative Suite.

Your creations are valuable

Creating art takes time, energy, mountains of creativity and a keen eye for detail. You can expect a nice reward for this at Plotvis. Based on a 40-hour workweek, you will receive

  • a gross monthly salary between € 2.424 and € 3.427 (scale F-G cao architecten).
  • 30 vacation days.
  • a training budget.
  • pension accrual in accordance with the collective labour agreement for architects.
  • the possibility to work flexibly.

Can you already see it?

That's logical. Such an opportunity is not to be missed as a 3D illustrator architecture at Plotvis. Apply before March 13, 2021, after that date this vacancy will be closed. Do not forget to send your portfolio along with your resume and cover letter. Would you like to know more about this function? Please let Rob ten Napel, team leader at Plotvis know via rob@plotvis.nl.

Of course, it is nice to get an impression of the application process in advance. Rob carefully examines all portfolios, cover letters and resumes.
