Commercial assistant for architectural projects

What a great feeling when you and your colleagues have won that one cool architecture project! As a commercial employee at Kraaijvanger Architects you will help with European tenders and you will take care of an accurate tender and sharp planning.

Willing is able as commercial assistant for architecture projects

Ready, set, go! You participate in the first round of European tenders. In order to bring in the contract successfully, you surprise the assessment committee with refreshing presentations, booklets and tender documents that you draw up yourself in InDesign. You collect the necessary information from the architects and our cooperation partners. Or you use your writing skills to creatively and convincingly formulate the answer to the contracting authority's question. For this you work closely with our marketing department. In addition, you keep a close eye on deadlines and remind us of agreements. Finally, you make sure that:

- we are qualified for each new project by supplying the right documents properly and on time;

- the acquisition projects of your colleagues also run smoothly. You are the spider in the web!

- we have a correct administration and planning we can count on.

We are Kraaijvanger Architects

An architectural firm with Rotterdam roots. Literally, because Kraaijvanger Architects has been a household name here since 1927. Today our office is filled with 60 practical idealists working on a variety of projects. We are not dreamers, but doers who create socially engaged architecture. Think public buildings, public interiors and vital city districts. From chair to city. Our goal? To create buildings and spaces with character and lasting beauty. We want people to work, live and learn more happily in sustainable buildings that enhance their surroundings. The more complex the project, the more we like to get stuck in. And all that in the heart of Rotterdam, within walking distance of Blaak train station.

You will join our fanatical acquisition team. Together we arrange cool (inter)national assignments for our office, for example by winning competitions. As you would expect from an architectural firm, our department can be hectic. A deadline here, a stir there. We share a lot with each other. The drive to create the most beautiful things and our 'can't be done, doesn't exist' mentality. And also delicious lunches and heartbreak. By the way, we love great initiatives and crazy ideas. So with us you don't have to hold back.

What about you?

You see details from a meter away and know how to fish out every spelling error, wrong comma and extra space in our acquisition material. You are great at planning your own work and that of others. Since your arrival, we never miss a deadline. You like working with us so much that you feel responsible for your contribution and that is why you always dot the i's and cross the t's. In addition, you are enterprising and have strong communication skills. Finally, you have

- at least an mbo diploma;

- 3 to 5 years of experience with (European) tenders;

- Experience with InDesign (Adobe Creative Suite) and Microsoft Office programs;

Taking the initiative is rewarded

Admittedly, we ask a lot of you as a commercial employee. At Kraaijvanger Architects you can expect an appropriate reward. You will receive from us on the basis of a 32-hour work week:

- A gross monthly salary of minimum € 2,657 and maximum € 3,427 (scale G CAO Architects);

- 30 vacation days (based on 40 hours);

- A training budget so you can further specialize and develop yourself;

- a bonus scheme;

- travel allowance;

- pension accrual;

Opportunities are not to be missed, so be sure to apply before April 23, 2021. After that, this vacancy is closed. Do you have any questions about this position? Please feel free to contact Bas Niese, managing partner at 06 - 51 15 47 87 or basniese@kraaijvanger.nl.

What does the application procedure look like? During the first video interview you'll get to know Bas and Rinske. We'll discuss your ambitions and ask for your references. Have we become even more enthusiastic? Then we'll have a second interview at our office, where we'll go into more detail about our company and the position. You will also have the opportunity to talk to a (future) colleague. Who knows, we might soon be toasting to your new job!
