Kraaijvanger

The ambition of Kraaijvanger to be more involved in the city is strengthen by transformation & renovation projects such as concert - and congress centre De Doelen and the recently opened Swimming Venue Hart van Zuid. The contribution of Kraaijvanger to some of Rotterdam history makes an appearance in the 2018/2019 season brochure of De Doelen.

De Doelen

The concert - and congress centre De Doelen underwent a series of interventions to advance architectural, functional and technical aspects. The unused spaces in the building were transformed into interesting spaces, which allows users to meet one another in a suitable setting. With the introduction of a new lighting plan the different orchestral - and public gatherings get the opportunity to create suitable atmospheres.

Swimming Venue Hart van Zuid

On February 23rd 2018 the Swimming Venue Hart van Zuid had its grand opening. The characteristic building offers a 25-meter pool for different activities and a 50-meter competition pool for international sport events. Alongside the integrated area development Hart van Zuid (“Heart of South”) the neighborhood will become a lively center, in which the new Swimming Venue with a variety of possibilities hopes to draw in more and new visitors
