18.07.2019
Kraaijvanger Architects has made a design, called Treehouse, that will become the central meeting place of Hoofddorp City Center. The municipality of Haarlemmermeer and Treehouse CV recently signed a so-called anterior agreement to actually realize the plans. In the coming period, Kraaijvanger will further develop the design for 229 apartments, 2,250 m2 of commercial facilities and 240 parking spaces on the Apriscoterrein at Raadhuisplein in Hoofddorp.
“I am very happy that we are really taking the first important step towards a beautiful and vibrant center. When I was young, something never happened here. Now it is becoming a real city. Hoofddorp goes along with the people.
Treehouse is the first development on Raadhuisplein, with which this step forms a milestone in the development of Stadscentrum Hoofddorp into a cozy and lively city center. According to planning, the delivery will be completed in 2022.
"The development of this site has taken quite some time. We are therefore pleased that an image-defining development is now taking place here. Good for Hoofddorp! ”
At the place where the cultural and administrative heart of Hoofddorp and the shopping center come together, a cozy and atmospheric entertainment area will soon be created. The existing and new restaurants on the ground floor, the Cultuurgebouw, the redevelopment of the town hall and other future plans ensure a lively and private square.
"This is also a very important development for us, we are happy to contribute to the ambition that Hoofddorp will get the center it deserves."
The project is a development of the Hoofddorp-based Delta Development Group in collaboration with VolkerWessels and NIBC, which also acts as a financier. The segmentation of the houses in the Kraaijvanger design consists of 30% social rent, 10% third segment (rent) and 60% free sector (rent or purchase).
