The Eurovision Song Contest is coming to Rotterdam. And it is hosted by Rotterdam Ahoy in the middle of Hart van Zuid. How cool is that? It means an enormous boost for our city and in particular for Hart van Zuid, the area development that Kraaijvanger is working on as an architect and supervisor. Congratulations Rotterdam!

A comparison with earlier editions of the Song Festival indicates that 28 to 50,000 visitors will be attracted by the Hart van Zuid area development. Kraaijvanger Architects is working on the expansion of Rotterdam Ahoy Convention Center (RACC). It will soon consist of 35 halls and RTM Stage. This is not only the largest auditorium and the largest theater room in the Netherlands (capacity 2,750), but when the seats are completely removed, it becomes a music room for concerts and events for up to 7,000 people. RTM Stage is therefore unique in the Netherlands in both congress / theater and concert areas. At the 50th anniversary of Ahoy, in January 2021, the official opening will take place.
