World Sustainability Centre

The submission for the World Sustainability Centre Afsluitdijk ‘Changing Perspectives’ is defined by five various floating volumes, which can be situated at different locations near the Afsluitdijk. The complex is constantly influenced by the natural changes of its surroundings and therefore integrates as living part of the landscape.

Each volume has its identical architectonic concept and interacts different with the surrounding wind, water and sun-energy. The five volumes form a zero energy network by mutual exchange. The configuration, location and functioning of the volumes changes every 500 days during an exhibition change. In consequence the complex offers the visitors a new perspective at the Afsluitdijk and its surrounding nature.
