Dobbewijk Voorschoten

>

The District Dobbe Voorschoten is a mixed residential and work areas. It is largely a question of redevelopment. Commissioned by the Municipality of Voorschoten, Kraaijvanger • Urbis made an urban plan. For further development, Kraaijvanger • Urbis made a partnership with the municipality to turn this urban plan into a structural vision as a base for the legal zoningplan.

The main concept of the plan aims to turn the Dobbewijk to it’s borders; a face to the outside, to the city Voorschoten, to the railway and to the station. The second and as important element is to make a clear and distinct infrastructure. Space is created with a compact design of the newly developed part by making collective distribution and parking areas. This space is used for both good transitions between the residential and work area and to introduce a coherent and unifying public space.
