The proposal for the World Sustainability Centre Afsluitdijk: ‘Changing Perspectives’ is defined by a collection of five floating volumes, which can be situated at different locations near the Afsluitdijk (the Netherlands). The World Sustainability Centre is constantly influenced by the natural changes of its surroundings, and thus becomes a living part of the landscape. Each volume has its own architectonical concept and interacts differently with the wind, water and sun-energy. Together the five volumes form a zero energy network by mutual ex-change.

By changing the configuration, location and functioning of the volumes, the World Sustainability Center offers visitors every 500 days (during an exhibition change) a new perspective on the Afsluitdijk and the surroundings.
