The construction of a new administrative centre at the rear of Den Bosch’s monumental town hall has created an opportunity to give the interior of the existing town hall, which is located along the market, a cosmetic facelift and to reorganise it in functional terms. The old council hall and the Oranjegalerij (Orange Gallery) on the first floor will serve a new function as reception areas for larger groups of visitors. This entails adaptations to the catering facilities and a renewal of the building use permit with the related modifications to the emergency escape routes.
