The renovation of the office of the borough of Prins Alexander comprises office space that is divided across two floors and a council hall with workspaces for the registry clerks. The organisation works with fixed workspaces, in a combination of open workspaces and a cubicle office setup. The key principles of the design are increased openness and transparency – to improve communication. This is achieved by featuring glass in all the corridor walls and by creating a broad street that leads to the centrally located meeting square, which also accommodates the cluster of the living room and the facilities.

The glass walls that line the street on both sides feature black-and-white transparent photographs that both guarantee the privacy of the employees without allowing them to lose visual contact with their colleagues. The materialisation is both professional and full of atmosphere thanks to its use of natural materials and a striking floor finish that casts a warm glow across the entire work area.
