Excitement and intuitive orientation The new building was designed by Kraaijvanger Architects. David Hess, who signed for the design says: "On the one hand, the building supports the thrill of an event visit, on the other it offers the peace in which there is room for an intuitive orientation. The plan contributes to the stimulation of the senses associated with events. In addition, the design ensures perfect logistic tuning of the various visitor flows.
After 10 years working at Kraaijvanger, starting as project architect (2008), then as associate partner, David Hess further strengthens his connection with the company from 1 September 2018 as a partner. David has proven to be able to convert complex inner city assignments into sustainable innovative appealing architecture. In addition, he has set up new ways of teamwork and with initiatives such as 360, the Hub and Contrast. Under the supervision of David, the designs for AHOY Convention Center and the Van Gelder head office and Experience Center were established. He studied architecture from 1996 to 2003 at Delft University of Technology. Before joining Kraaijvanger, he gained experience at various architectural firms, such as cepezed and Claus & Kaan.
