StiB Award

The Steden in Beweging (StiBa/ “Cities in Movement”) Award started in 2013 as an initiative of real estate manager WPM Groep as tribute to the 25th anniversary of the company. Vastgoedmarkt is involved from the start as media partner. Since 2016 Syntrus Achmea awards the price.

The five-headed jury of the award will visit a few nominated projects in April to judge the quality of the projects. Through a visit they can feel how the project integrates into the environment. After the judgement of the jury visitors of the Provada 2018 can vote for their favorite in the stand of Vastgoedmarkt. The judgement of both parties determines the winner that will be announced on June 7th 2018 at 1pm. The announcement comes in the stand of Syntrus Achmea Real Estate & Finance.

Nominated project

Begin 2018 Swimming Venue Rotterdam had it’s grand opening. Kraaijvanger Architects created the design of the transformation of the former municipality office of Rotterdam Zuid to a multifunctional pool. The municipality office was transformed into a real eye catcher that communicates with the area thanks to shops and bars/restaurants.

The Swimming Venue will be judged on if it provides the needs of her users, if it reinforces the urban area, if it reinforces the identity of the city/neighborhood and the innovation of the design.
