Michael Braungart
Michael Braungart is a German chemist who with William McDonough's wrote the book' Cradle to Cradle: Remaking the Way We Make Things' which turned the world upside down.
The American Time magazine called McDonough Braungart the"Heroes of the Planet" because of their sustainable, innovative and influential world view. According to the newspaper, their philosophy can lead to a new Industrial Revolution. The innovation has to do with the sustainable principles of Cradle to Cradle. The Cradle to Cradle revolution is unlike its predecessor, good for people, society and environment.

Rob Nijsse - ABT
After graduation, Rob Nijsse started his career at ABT as design engineer. He has held several positions within ABT.
Rob Nijsse has a clear preference for structures which have a certain tension in the use and incorporation of structural elements. Since 1986 his special interest in structural glass started. His His expertise in the area of glass as a structural material - partially refelcted in his book ‘Glass in Structures’ - has earned Rob international acclaim and has led various well-known architects and artists to involve him in a wide range of projects. His experiments and unique glass structures – glass staircases, bridges, undulating facades and columns – emphasize his vast knowledge in design engineering.
Besides working with ABT, Rob Nijsse is since 2007 Professor of Design and Load-bearing Structures at Delft University (the Netherlands).
